Global Business Performance Think Tank (GBPT)
Global Business Performance Think Tank is a community of highly motivated Ernst & Young Global Advisory practice professionals from around the world. The concept of GBPT started in the beginning of 2008 with its first initiative, a quarterly business journal called Performance. Performance has already become a success story in its own right, with global distribution to leading business executives and academics.
Performance has also been launched in four languages with regional content specifically aimed at the local market in China, Russia, France and Germany. Performance is a fast growing platform for developing and sharing intellectual capital with its perfect synthesis of leading business practice and applied academic research.
"Thought must be divided against itself before it can come to any knowledge of itself."
Aldous Huxley (1894–1963),English author: ‘Wordsworth in the Tropics’,
Do What You Will (1929)
In order to coordinate GBPT participants’ operational and knowledge-sharing activities, we conduct GBPT conference calls in two different time slots to provide greater scheduling flexibility in different time zones. The platform allows sub-area leaders to share their ideas and views on leading management practices, as well as some of the most interesting projects they have done. Guest speakers from academia and industry participate in each call, bringing their external perspectives to the discussion. Webcasts and podcasts of these calls are available for download.
This web portal for GBPT is an open platform designed to amplify its activities and to connect to a wider audience. All GBPT-generated content, including articles/case studies published in Performance, is accessible through the portal.
GBPT has become an integral part of the Ernst & Young Global Advisory practice in the drive to foster innovation, performance, sustainability and to become one of the key pillars of ‘Quality in everything we do’.
