Determinants of project performance in the Russian construction industry: a strategic project management perspective

This article presents the preliminary results of a Russian survey to identify the determinants of poor construction project performance. The results show that these determinants mainly pertain to planning and execution management, and imply that project owners may be paying a high price in the long run in their attempts to capture the immediate benefits of a fast-track project execution approach.
